Eminem, Muse, Foo Fighters to headline Lollapalooza 2011

Chicago’s biggest music festival reveals line-up of major artists.

Formerly a tour, Lollapalooza is now an annual music festival, and this summer it will once again be held on the grounds of Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, from August 5 to 7. The famous event attracts huge crowds of music-lovers.

Yesterday (February 9), organizers announced the names of three artists who will be headlining the event this year: Eminem, Muse and the Foo Fighters. The rest of the program is expected to be unveiled in April.

Lollapalooza 2011 marks its 20th year of existence and seventh year as a stationary festival in Chicago. Among the headliners at last year’s festival: Lady Gaga, Green Day, Arcade Fire and Soundgarden.

In 2010, it was announced that Lollapalooza would debut overseas, with a branch of the festival to be staged in Chile’s capital Santiago this coming April 2 and 3.
