Chris Brown’s new album due March 22

R&B album F.A.M.E. will hit shelves late next month.

R&B singer Chris Brown’s new album F.A.M.E. has finally been given a release date of March 22, reports MTV.

Since 2009’s Graffiti, Brown, 21, has focused mainly on making mix-tapes with a more urban sound, but finally his fourth studio album is almost ready to drop.

"I’m trying to get everything together, figure out what I’m [going to] do with the album," Brown said in a radio interview last September.

Brown has been hard at work, and his singles have been doing well on the charts. The album’s lead single, a dance number titled Yeah 3X, made it to 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, and seven on Billboard‘s pop charts.

The album’s second single, Look at Me Now, features Lil’ Wayne and Busta Rhymes. Released yesterday (February 1), it currently sits at 62 on Billboards Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, giving Brown his sixth entry on the U.S. charts.

Brown is currently nominated in three categories for this month’s 53rd annual Grammy Awards. On February 13, he will be up for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals (for Take My Time), best contemporary R&B album (Graffiti), and best rap/sung collaboration (Deuces).
