90210 gets own fashion line

Teen televisions drama partners with fashion retailer to create bebe for 90210.

Fashion retailer bebe is teaming up with the CW teen drama 90210 to create a special collection called bebe for 90210, reports Coco Perez.

The collaboration is currently set to cover four annual collections, featuring clothing inspired by 90210 characters and modelled by the actors during the show.

The show stylists and the creative team from bebe will work together to design a complete collection inspired by the series, including dresses, tops, bottoms and accessories.

"Partnering with 90210 makes perfect sense because there is a natural synergy between our bebe brand and the adventurous energy and sexiness portrayed by the characters in the show," said bebe founder and CEO Manny Mashouf.

The full collection will be available from bebe beginning February 10th, although fans can catch a sneak peak of the new line during the 90210 episode airing tonight (January 31).

A relaunch of the popular ’90s series, Beverly Hills, 90210, the show is currently in its third season on the CW, and airs on Global in Canada.

The bebe label was founded by Mashouf in 1976 in San Francisco, with a name that was inspired Shakespeare’s famous line: "to be or not to be". Today, the company operates 252 retail boutiques and has 21 internationally-licensed stores, including nine in Canada.
