Drake to make reggae album?

Canadian singer and rapper to work with Jamaican producer.

Currently at work on his second album, Take Care, and collaborating with the likes of Florence and the Machine, during an interview on MuchMusic, Drake revealed he was interested in working on reggae music.

RapCity’s T-Rexx asked the recording artist if he had ever considered putting together a reggae album, and Drake replied that he wanted to put something together for his upcoming trip to the island.

"I wanna do something for Jamaica, because we’re supposed to go out there and record after the European tour,” he said. He’s asked a Jamaican producer, “ …send me some rhythms that are poppin’ and I’ll see what I can do…You never know!"

According to reports, a complete reggae album just might result from these planned Jamaican recording sessions. On his debut album, Drake’s Find Your Love video is set in Jamaica and features Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer Mavado.

Drake’s second studio album will be released around March or April.
