Pop star Katy Perry, 26, is hard at work gearing up for her California Dreams world tour, which kicks off next month, reports Rolling Stone.
Determined to set her first arena tour on par with mega-performers like Pink and Lady Gaga, Perry has been practicing tirelessly for the upcoming show which includes 15 outfit changes.
"Touring is no longer an ordinary thing where you play an instrument in jeans and a T-shirt. It has some pizzazz these days, and I’m definitely bringing the pizzazz with a lot of bells and whistles," said Perry.
For instance, Perry’s world tour will be the first to offer smell-o-vision. "It’s the first concert that’s going to smell good. It’s going to smell like you’re in cotton candy heaven."
California Dreams opens February 20 in Portugal. Perry will perform 95 shows around the world before the tour wraps November 2 in Dublin. The show will hit Canada June 30 in Toronto, with performances scheduled for Montreal, Ottawa, Regina, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver in July.
