Simon & Garfunkel reissue hit album

Folk duo’s 1970 hit album Bridge Over Troubled Water gets 40th anniversary reissue.

Folk duo Simon & Garfunkel, unquestionably one of the most significant musical acts of their generation, has announced a 40th anniversary reissue of their hit album. Bridge Over Troubled Water was originally released in January of 1970 and rose to number one on the charts and won a slew of Grammys, including Album of the Year.

Known for their unique harmonies, their association produced a total of five studio albums from 1964 to 1970. Of all their work, their last effort together, Bridge Over Troubled Water, is still considered one of the best albums of all time.

On March 28th, the boxed set of 2 CDs and 2 DVDs a CD/DVD will hits stores and features the original album, plus Songs of America, a Simon & Garfunkel TV special from 1969 that has never been commercially available.

The DVD also features a new "making-of" documentary, with fresh interviews from Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. For longtime fans, this album reissue allows them to revisit the disc which has sold more than 25 million copies since its release.
