Lil Wayne back on tour

I Am Music II tour scheduled to hit 25 North American cities this spring.

Lil Wayne’s first tour since his release from jail last year, I Am Music II, kicks off March 18 in Buffalo, NY, stopping in 25 North American cities and wraps up in New Jersey on May 1.

Two Canadian dates are currently on the schedule: the American rapper will visit Edmonton on April 28 and then travel to Vancouver for a show on April 29.

Several collaborators and fellow musicians are rumoured to be joining the tour, including breakout star Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Travis Barker and Mixmaster Mike.

Incarcerated in March last year, the 28-year-old rapper has just finished serving an eight-month sentence for criminal possession of a weapon.

While in jail, the hip hop musician released his eighth studio album, I Am Not a Human Being. The album, featuring big-name artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Jay Sean, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in September.

Since his release, Wayne has started work on a new album, Tha Carter IV, which is expected to drop some time this year. The first official single, 6 Foot 7 Foot, was released in December.
