Lady Gaga previews music at fashion show

Theatrical performer will play musical director for meat dress designer’s show.

It is fitting that a theatrical performer like Lady Gaga renowned for her outrageous fashions, has agreed to be the musical director for meat dress designer Thierry Mugler’s Paris fashion show, reports MTV News.

Tomorrow (January 19), the pop star told her fans that she will preview some material from her upcoming album Born This Way.

"I’m the musical director for the MUGLER fashion show," Gaga tweeted fans. "I’m remixing/previewing a record on Born This Way, tailored for the show + garments." However, she didn’t specify which song she would be previewing.

Lady Gaga’s presence at the event is largely due to Mugler’s new creative director, Nicola Formichetti, designer of the infamous meat dress the singer wore to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010.

Formichetti told WWD that Lady Gaga will be the musical director for Mugler’s show during Men’s Fashion Week, which runs through Sunday.

This won’t be Gaga’s first involvement with the fashion runways of Paris, since she debuted her smash-hit Bad Romance at Alexander McQueen’s show in 2009.
