Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly plan rap album

Step Brothers co-stars already have 2008 rap video on YouTube.

Two popular Hollywood actors, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, have decided to go ahead with launching a rap album, an idea they have had for years. A well-known and respected music producer, whose identity remains secret, has agreed to work with the comedic duo.

Ferrell and Reilly both appeared in 2006’s Talladega Nights and forged a strong friendship while filming their 2008 comedy Step Brothers. John C. Reilly (Chicago, Boogie Nights), best known as a serious actor, has revealed a talent for comedy alongside Farrell.

In a 2008 YouTube video, which features explicit lyrics, the comedians parody the excessive jewelry and scantily clad women typically seen in rap videos.

The two artists are launching the album together and are hoping that fellow actor and rapper Mos Def, who had a cameo in Talladega Nights, will collaborate on at least one of their songs.
