Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas recording duet album

Former celebrity couple to reunite in the recording studio.

Teen pop stars Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas are reuniting to record a duet album, reports MTV. The duo previously dated for two years, but broke up in 2007.

Shakur Green, a music producer who worked with Cyrus on her album Time of Our Lives, posted the news on a private Twitter feed, to which the LiveJournal blog, AnythingDisney, managed to gain access.

The producer says he will be hitting the studio with Cyrus and Jonas on January 14. "We’re only recording 7-10 records. She has other producers she working with besides myself!" wrote Green, before he went on to reveal that the project will be a "double disk duet album".

"Can’t release any additional information about the project other then it’s going to be one of the top albums of 2011," he added.

After their romantic split, Cyrus and Jonas first creatively teamed up in 2009, to record the single Before the Storm. The track was featured on the Jonas Brothers album Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
