Gerard Butler and Beyoncé for L’Oreal

L’Oréal Paris unveils videos of new ads featuring Beyoncé and Gerard Butler.

Cosmetics giant L’Oreal Paris began the new year with the launch of its Feria hair dye campaign starring American pop singer Beyoncé, 29, reports Coco Perez.

And that’s not all. As L’Oreal announced several months ago, Scottish actor Gerard Butler, 41, has signed on as the ambassador for Men’s Expert Hydra Energetic line of skin creams.

To get a sneak peek of Butler’s advertising campaign, the brand unveiled a backstage video of his James Bond-style commercial shoot, in which Butler plays an actor in the film shoot—not too much of a stretch for the popular leading man.

Butler was proud of his collaboration, stating: "I am excited to work with L’Oreal Paris. I always liked the quality and innovation of their products."

By becoming the face of L’Oreal Paris, Gerard Butler succeeds the Grey’s Anatomy TV star Patrick Dempsey, who starred in last season’s campaign.

The L’Oréal Group, the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty company, is headquartered in Paris. Founded in 1909, L’Oréal has transitioned to a listed company, but the founder’s daughter Liliane Bettencourt and the Swiss food company Nestlé each control over 25 per cent of the shares and voting rights.

L’Oreal main product lines include hair colour, skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfumes and hair care. The company is also active in the dermatological and pharmaceutical fields and is the top nanotechnology patent-holder in the United States.
