Willow Smith to remake dad’s song?

Whip My Hair hitmaker hints she’s thinking of remaking Parents Just Don’t Understand.

Young singer and actress Willow Smith, 10, daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, is considering the possibility of recording a new version of her father’s 1988 rap song Parents Just Don’t Understand.

The Whip My Hair hitmaker said she is a big fan of the song and told Yahoo Music, “There’s a possibility that I will. It’s a really great song.”

The original, ironically her dad’s rebellious rap about conservative parents, won the best rap performance Grammy award in 1989 for DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (aka Will Smith).

Canadian singer Justin Bieber, 16, plans to team up with Willow Smith for the European leg of his world tour.

Earlier in 2010, Bieber also worked with the Smith family when he recorded Never Say Never with Jaden Smith, Willow’s older brother, for the soundtrack of his film Karate Kid.
