Bahamas hosts rock ā€˜nā€™ roll fantasy camp

Rock ‘n Roll Fantasy Camp offers campers a chance to rub shoulders with icons of rock.

The unusual Rock ‘n Roll Fantasy Camp offers wannabe rock stars a chance to rub shoulders with rock icons who also double as music counsellors.

The next Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp will be held from February 17 to 20, 2011 at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas with 21 well-chosen music counsellors, including Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Ace Frehley (KISS) and Lita Ford (The Runaways).

Participants learn all about the music industry during their four day stay. They can also write and record an original song, and rehearse with rock star bandmates. Finally, they perform with rock legends during a finale concert at the Atlantis theatre.

Interested campers can participate at a cost of $4,999 per adult. For older youth, age 12 to 16, the Young Rockers program is available for $2,999. Campers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Prices include tuition, a DVD of the final show and some surprises, however accommodation is extra.
