Taylor Lautner escapes from prison

Handsome teen actor to star as prison inmate in fantasy film.

Taylor Lautner has signed on for the lead role in the fantasy film adaptation of Incarceron, a fantasy young adult novel by Catherine Fisher, reports Deadline.

The fantasy fiction tells the story of a self-sustaining prison where one generation of inmates gives birth to the next. Lautner plays the role of 17-year-old Finn who has lived his whole life in prison. Inspired by a prison legend about the only man ever to escape Incarceron, Finn teams up with the warden’s daughter, Claudia, to mount a fantastic escape.

The handsome actor is currently filming the final Twilight instalment, part two of Breaking Dawn. The first part is expected in theaters November 18, 2011, while the second film will be released November 16, 2012.

Since his breakout role as Jacob Black in the Twilight vampire film franchise, Lautner has become the highest paid teen actor in Hollywood.

Fans of the actor can also plan to see him in the action movie Abduction due out in theaters September 23, 2011.
