In an open letter on her website, Erin Barry, ex-wife of Brent Barry, former teammate of Tony Parker, denied having an affair with the French athlete, reports TMZ.
Adding another twist to the highly publicized divorce between Desperate Housewives TV star Eva Longoria and basketball player Tony Parker, the alleged ‘other woman,’ Erin Barry has come forward to explain herself, saying, “because apparently my silence, as a result of my indifference, has been construed as an admission of guilt.”
Last month, Erin Barry was the rumoured ‘other woman’ when Longoria revealed her husband had cheated on her and had hundreds of text messages from another woman. Now Barry has spoken up about her innocence in an open letter on her website.
“I did not have an affair with Tony Parker, nor did I “pursue” Tony Parker,” wrote Barry in her letter. “Unfortunately, because our divorces are occurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on our friendship.
“My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with the end of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama), and to assume that we had an affair is naïve, ridiculous, and completely misguided.”
Barry states she is far too busy as a mother and first-year law student and has far “more important things to do” than to “address this ludicrous issue.” It’s interesting to note that throughout her message, Barry speaks only of her friendship with Parker, never mentioning Longoria’s name once.
Last week, Longoria and Parker were spotted dining in LA. The former couple are said to be on amicable terms as they discuss the terms of their divorce.
