Paris Hilton’s new legal tangle with hair company

Celebutante launches countersuit against hair extensions company.

American celebutante and reality TV star Paris Hilton, 29, is countersuing a hair extensions company in a breach of contract dispute, reports Starpulse.

In 2007, the hotel heiress had been paid $3.5 million to endorse the Dream Catchers line of hair extensions from Hairtech International. However, company officials filed a lawsuit against Hilton last August accusing her of breaking their agreement by allegedly sporting competitors’ hair pieces.

Insisting the charge is unfounded, Hilton’s attorneys are challenging it in Los Angeles Superior Court. In the countersuit, Hilton alleges she was "professional and honorable" in her promotion of Hairtech products, going so far as to praise the company’s boss in an e-mail after a promo shoot.

She is asking for $3 million in compensation as well as punitive damages.
