Hilton opens 3 new hotels in Russia

Hotelier now has 11 Russian hotel properties.

Having arrived in the former Soviet empire in 2008, the Hilton hotel chain has announced the upcoming opening of three new hotels in the country, bringing its total number of Russian hotels to eleven.

Hilton Worldwide opens its first properties in the Russian cities of Yaroslavl and Kazan, and will add a second hotel in Moscow.

The hotel chain is home to a number of brands including Embassy Suites, Conrad, Hampton, Homewood Suites, Doubletree, and Hilton Garden Inn among others.

Doubletree by Hilton in northwest Moscow will offer 207 guestrooms, while Hilton Garden Inns in Yaroslavl and Kazan will offer 179 and 171 guestrooms respectively – all expected to open in 2012.

Hilton Worldwide, known in part for the family’s hotel heiresses, daughters Nicky and Paris Hilton, has been in business for 91 years, and has approximately 3,600 hotels with about 590,000 rooms in 82 countries.
