Armani unveils children’s fashion collection

Upscale Italian designer unveils Armani Junior Fall/Winter 2010 collection.

In recent seasons, several famous designers have unveiled children’s fashion collections, including Stella McCartney, Gucci, Paul Smith and Marc Jacobs.

Last week in Milan, it was Giorgio Armani’s turn, when he unveiled his Armani Junior Fall/Winter 2010 collection, reports Vogue.

Young models paraded on the catwalk modelling the stylish, mini-me designs. The boys’ line was specially designed for school, with comfortable quality fabrics and modern cuts.

The girls modelled more sophisticated fashions for the holiday season in a collection that featured sequined collars, iridescent tights, and patent leather ballerina flats.

On the fashion forefront, Giorgio Armani started the Armani Junior line almost 30 years ago in 1981, and opened the first store in Milan in 1986.
