On Wednesday (November 17), French basketball player, Tony Parker, 28, spoke up about his recent divorce plans with soon-to-be ex-wife, Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, 35, reports People.
In a statement issued by Parker’s representative, the handsome athlete had this to say: “Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately. I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles.”
Parker also denied an earlier erroneous report that he went to court first. “I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California,” he said. “We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private.”
Meanwhile, Eva Longoria was back at work yesterday (November 18) on the set of the television series Desperate Housewives, ready to move on.
Married in 2007, the couple has been together for seven years. Longoria filed for divorce after discovering hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker’s phone. Allegedly, the other woman is Erin Barry, former wife of Brent Barry, a former teammate of Parker.
