Billionaire Branson your flight attendant?

Virgin Group boss loses a bet with Air Asia owner.

Some billionaires can take a joke better than others. Sir Richard Branson, 60, billionaire owner of the Virgin Group, made a bet with Tony Fernandes, owner of Air Asia, that if either of their Formula 1 racing teams lost, the loser would have to don a stewardess’ uniform and serve passengers on the winner’s airline.

Both neophyte teams Virgin Racing and Lotus Racing ended the season with zero points, however Fernandes’ Lotus placed ahead of Virgin in the rankings.

“We have had this great bet running all season and now it’s time for Richard to start preparing himself for some hard work and the likely pain of a pair of high heels!” said Fernandes.

On Sunday night (November 14) at the conclusion of final F1 race, during celebrations at the Abu Dhabi track, Fernandes gave Branson an Air Asia uniform and pinned a stewardess’ badge on the Virgin Racing boss.

Branson will serve on a Kuala Lumpur-London Air Asia flight.  The tickets will be sold in an online charity auction, the details of which will be released soon.
