Robert Downey Jr looks at ‘How to Talk to Girls’

Actor withdraws from Gravity film project in favour of How To Talk To Girls.

After trying to convince various actresses to co-star, including Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman, now the producers of Gravity will have to find another male lead.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey Jr. has withdrawn from the the project directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban).

The actor prefers to focus on another project, How to Talk to Girls, based on the book by the nine-year-old Alec Greven, which gives advice on how to manage relationships with the opposite sex.

Downey, 45, will produce the film with his wife, Susan Downey, along with Shawn Levy at 21 Laps. For the time being, no formal agreement has been signed with the actor.

The American actor is currently filming Sherlock Holmes 2, which hits theatres next December 16, 2011. He is then set to reprise his Tony Stark-Iron Man role for The Avengers with a planned release in May 4, 2012. In addition, he is attached to Iron Man 3 for 2013 and the movie Oz: The Great and Powerful.
