The hunt is on for both a female villain and a love interest for Bruce Wayne aka Batman, reports deadline.com
Hollywood’s hottest actresses are in the race: Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts, and Rachel Weisz have met with director Christopher Nolan for the third superhero instalment, The Dark Knight Rises. In the past, the names of Charlize Theron and Vera Farmiga have also come up.
Although the film is slated for release in July 2012, no official casting announcement has been made yet as to who will play Bruce Wayne’s girlfriend, or who will get to torment the caped crusader as his sexy female villain.
While awaiting the casting call, Anne Hathaway will star in Love and Other Drugs on November. Natalie Portman will be in theatres on December 3 in Black Swan. Naomi Watts is featured in the movie Fair Game and Keira Knightley will be in London Boulevard on November 26. Rachel Weisz is in Dream House on January 1, also starring Naomi Watts.
