Britney Spears returns to studio

Pop singer headed to studio this week with hit-making producers.

After numerous personal problems, the best place for Britney Spears, 28, is probably back at work, singing in the studio, with a couple of hit-making producers to help her reclaim her place on the pop charts.

“Brit is recording a big big BIG new song on Friday with #MaxMartin & @TheDrLuke. I’m pretty sure it’s a smash!" Spears’s manager Adam Leber tweeted late Monday evening (November 8).

Producer Max Martin has worked with Britney on many hits including One More Time, and Dr. Luke wrote or co-wrote Spears’s Circus, Ke$ha’s Tik Tok, and Katy Perry’s California Gurls and Hot N Cold. The pair also collaborated on Kelly Clarkson’s 2005 hit Since U Been Gone.

In September, the pop star made three cameo appearances on the popular Glee TV show for a Spears-themed tribute episode, in which the cast covered five of her songs.

According to Billboard, Dr. Luke and Max Martin are executive producers of Spears’s new album, which is scheduled for release in 2011.
