New images from Spieberg’s 3-D Tintin

New images released from upcoming Steven Spielberg film The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

Directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson, new images from the film The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn have just been uploaded online, reports comingsoon.net.

The film is an adaptation from the popular Tintin comic book series by Hergé. Shot in 3-D with motion capture technology, it stars Jamie Bell (King Kong) as Tintin and and Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings) as Captain Haddock.

Daniel Craig lends his voice to the character of Red Rackham, while Simon Pegg and Nick Frost play bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson.

Tintin will be a trilogy, with the second film was directed by Peter Jackson, and the third awaiting confirmation of rumours that Spielberg and Jackson will co-produce.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is due in theatres December 23, 2011.
