Currently at work on a new album slated for release next year, the band R.E.M. has announced the release of a new concert DVD, R.E.M. Live from Austin TX, which features 17 songs from their 2008 performance.
Recorded March 13, 2008 on PBS’ Austin City Limits, the disc captures the band’s debut on the longest-running music show in American television. The DVD contains an extended performance including three songs never aired on the original broadcast.
Featuring more than an hour of songs spanning the entire career of these Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame inductees, the concert includes such classic hits as Losing My Religion and Man on the Moon.
The songs have been re-mixed and re-mastered to provide the highest-quality concert DVD available. The original broadcast will re-air on PBS on November 27.
