Amy Winehouse song leaked online

Remake of Lesley Gore hit It’s My Party for Quincy Jones tribute album leaked online.

In this technical day and age, it’s becoming impossible to keep a musical secret. Much to the ire of the music industry, file-sharing sites often get access to music before the official release, and Amy Winehouse’s latest song, a remake of It’s My Party, is no exception.

Her first official new song in four years, Winehouse, 27, recorded the tune for producer Quincy Jones’ upcoming tribute album Q: Soul Bossa Nostra. Other performers include Mary J Blige, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Wyclef Jean and Ludacris, among others.

Jones produced the original 1960s hit for singer Lesley Gore. This time around, Winehouse collaborator, Mark Ronson, takes on production duties, and Winehouse’s big voice is perfect for the retro hit.

Jones says it was a thrill to work with Winehouse, and tells billboard.com, “She was amazing. Sweet as she could be…we bonded.”

Check out Winehouse’s version to hear how she’s sounding these days. The album is scheduled for release next week—just in time for the holiday season.
