Justin Bieber announces album release date

Teen pop sensation confirms new acoustic album release date.

On November 17, 2009, at the tender age of 15, a little-known Canadian singer named Justin Bieber released his first mini album of seven songs entitled My World. Flash forward almost one year later and Bieber is a global pop phenomenon announcing the release of his third album.

Last week, the singer tweeted about releasing a collection of acoustic tracks in time for the holidays, and on Saturday he announced the record will hit shelves in November, reports MTV News.

“On November 23rd the Unplugged Acousticalbum comes out!” Bieber tweeted. “Taking it back to how we started. Spread the word.”

The album will be mix of songs from his first two albums, My World and My World 2.0, as well as some new songs recently recorded in Hawaii.

Already busy at work on his next album to be released a year from now, Bieber, 16, is hoping to collaborate with Drake and L’il Wayne.

“[It’ll] probably [come out] fourth quarter next year,” Bieber said at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. “Drake is gonna be on that album; I’m not sure [who else]. I’m gonna ask him if he can get [Lil] Wayne on there.”

In addition to the new album, Bieber’s 3D bio-pic, Never Say Never, arrives in theatres in February 2011.
