Yesterday (October 20), Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, denied rumours that her daughter is pregnant, reports Daily News.
After an article appeared in Us Weekly magazine, rumours began to circulate online that Beyoncé had learned she was pregnant with her first child.
However, during his visit to television talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airs today (October 21), Tina Knowles said that these were just rumours.
“No, it’s not true. Not right now. I’m looking forward to it. With all the rumours, by now I should have five or six grandchildren,” she told DeGeneres. Tina Knowles is already a grandmother to Beyoncé’s younger sister’s son, Daniel, 6.
When the pregnancy rumours began to circulate, a source said that Beyoncé was very surprised by this news: “B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn’t ready to be a mother just yet,” said a source. “She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again.”
The singer has been married for two years to rapper-mogul, Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter, 40, and they’ve made no secret of their plans to have children one day. But for now, perhaps Beyoncé will continue to focus on her music and touring plans.
