Diamond-encrusted iPhone for sale

British designer unveils most expensive cell phone in the world.

And you thought your cell phone bills were high. In the ‘What will they think of next’ category, comes the announcement of the creation of the world’s most expensive phone from website stuarthughes.com.

With a fondness for combining technology and luxury, entrepeneur and designer Stuart Hughes has announced the design of a diamond-encrusted iPhone worth $8 million, and the limited edition has just two for sale.

The iPhone 4 Diamond Rose has 32 GB of memory and is adorned with 500 individual diamonds, which totals over 100 carats. The back of the phone is pink gold, and the Apple logo is formed from 53 diamonds. Definitely not something you want to forget at the bar or restaurant.

The handset, valued at £5 million ($8,037,020 CAD) comes with pink granite storage chest weighing 7 kg and lined with Nubuck top grain leather—a suitable resting place for such a luxurious item—now all it needs is a very strong lock.
