Singer Christina Aguilera, 29, confirmed yesterday (October 12) that she and her husband, Jordan Bratman, 33, had decided to separate after five years of marriage, reports People.
“Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” said the singer.
Aguilera and Bratman were married November 2005 in Napa Valley, California. Their son, Max, was born in January 2008.
According to friends of the couple, there were no major incidents that caused the separation, but that they had grown distant in the past few months. Unfortunately, their attempts to rekindle the flame have not have been very successful.
The couple has not decided whether they will divorce. A source said, “They are now living apart, and they will see how that goes.”
