Sandra Bullock lost in space?

Oscar-winning actress in talks for sci-fi movie role.

Sandra Bullock, recent Oscar-winner for her role in The Blind Side, is in talks to star in Alfonso Cuaron’s next film, Gravity, according to comingsoon.com.

The science fiction film, potentially starring Bullock, tells the story of a couple of astronauts who become stranded in space when their space station is accidentally destroyed. Robert Downey Jr is set to play her colleague.

Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman have all been discussed for the role, although Jolie and Portman have declined the role due to scheduling conflicts.

The film is to be shot in 3D with a budget of $80 million. Filming is scheduled for next January in England.

Bullock has several projects under way, including Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close with Tom Hanks.
