Coldplay and Jay-Z play New Year’s Eve in Vegas

The hot ticket for Las Vegas music fans on New Year’s Eve.

Last week, Jay-Z finally convinced close friend and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to sing at two of his concerts at Yankee Stadium in New York. The two have decided to team up again on December 31 in Las Vegas.

This time, Chris Martin of Coldplay will bring his bandmates along to ring in the new year with Jay-Z at a new casino in Las Vegas.

The concerts are part of a three-day invitation-only celebration to mark the opening of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Casino-Resort, according to Hollywood Reporter. Both acts will share the stage and perform individual sets.

Although attendance at the event is by invitation only, the hotel announced it will broadcast the show live on its huge 65-foot marquee, adjacent to the Vegas strip.
