Once and a while, a special edition of Rock Band will be released that is dedicated to one group, like the Beatles: Rock Band that came out last year. However, the game’s original versions are a mix of diverse styles and the next version will be no exception. It will feature, among others, The Smiths and Dio.
British foursome The Smiths had many ups and downs during the 1980s. They are still considered one of the best indie groups in history. The band’s controversial lead singer, Morrissey, went on to a successful solo career that has spanned almost 25 years.
Rock Band 3 will feature classics from The Smiths catalogue. This Charming Man will test players’ skill with high notes on the guitar. The song Irish Blood will probably make life difficult for players who try to imitate Morrissey’s unique singing style.
Version three of the popular Rock Band franchise had previously announced one song that would be included, The Smiths’ Stop Me if You Think You’ve Heard This One Before. Two more will only be offered later via download.
The new version, Rock Band 3, will offer 83 songs from various artists and will be released on October 26.
