Pregnancy rumours have dogged actress Penélope Cruz and now a rep for the star finally confirmed what everyone suspected, People reports.
Cruz had to return baby gifts sent from family and friends in Spain a year ago after tabloids reported she was pregnant.
This time, she really is. Reps for Cruz and her husband, Javier Bardem, announced: "Penelope is 4½-months pregnant."
Penélope Cruz was photographed on the set of her new film, the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, with what looked like a growing baby bump. People started asking if the 36-year old Spanish beauty was expecting her first child.
The rumour mill started going into overdrive in July when Cruz and Bardem tied the knot in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas.
Cruz is presently in Puerto Rico filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, starring alongside actors Johnny Depp and Ian McShane.
