The Kings of Leon have played new tracks during recent shows, much to the delight of fans. The band also understands that record company execs don’t much like it.
Frontman Caleb Followill told fans at a July show: "Just yesterday some people at the record label got to hear a couple of songs from it. I don’t know if they want us to play a bunch of new songs but I think, ‘F**k it’ – we’re going to do it!"
The first single, Radioactive, will be released on October 11 and the album will follow a week later. The video premiere of the new song will debut on the Kings of Leon website next Wednesday (September 8).
The album will be available as a standard release and as a deluxe album. That will include some live music recorded during their show in London’s Hyde Park in June.
