Amy Winehouse reached out to her chum Pete Doherty. The notorious musician is back to work and Winehouse reportedly told him he could bunk at her London pad.
A source said: "Amy has offered Pete a place to stay while he’s in London working on The Libertines comeback. She thinks a lot of him and they’ve been through a lot together so she wants to help him out."
However, friends of the Rehab singer are worried about the bad influence the two heavy partiers could be on each other. Even Winehouse’s father has publicly denounced Doherty in the past.
Mitch Winehouse revealed: "I do worry about people like Pete Doherty. He’s a scumbag. I flipped when I saw him sitting with Amy backstage at her Brixton gig. That night I went crazy. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack, I was apoplectic."
Winehouse is currently working on a follow-up to the highly acclaimed Back to Black album which came out in 2006.
