Actor Steve Carell will star in a project for Warner Bros.
They’re going to remake the Argentinean film Un novio para mi mujer (A Boyfriend for My Wife). The original film, directed by Juan Taratuto, was released in 2008.
Carell will produce the project through his company, Carousel Productions, in association with Michael and Christine Peters Cerenza.
The film follows a shy husband who wants to get out of a stifling marriage. To achieve this, he sets about finding a new love to his wife, and settles on a man who’s particularly good with the ladies.
Recently, Carell has appeared in Dinner For Schmucks, a remake of the French film Diner des cons.
The actor will return to the big screen in Crazy, Stupid, Love alongside Emma Stone, Kevin Bacon, Julianne Moore and Ryan Gosling on April 22, 2011.
