Jessica Alba to star in 4th Spy Kids installment

Alba may play a spy in fourth movie in the Spy Kids franchise.

Jessica Alba is in talks to join the cast of Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Robert Rodriguez will continue to direct his franchise, and has taken over scriptwriting duties as well.

Former Spy Kids stars Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara are now too old to play the kid, but they will have supporting roles in the new film, as will Antonio Banderas, who played their father in the first three films.

Alba will play a retired spy who is called back to work. She’ll play the mother of a baby and step-mother of two children who will be the new Spy Kids.

Shooting begins next month in Austin, Texas.

This is the third time that Alba will be directed by Rodriguez; she starred in his Sin City (2007) as well as in Machete, which will open next September.
