Weezer’s special tour

Weezer plans a concert tour in which they’ll play Blue Album and Pinkerton in their entireties.

Weezer may do a tour in which they play two nights in each city and play two full records, Blue Album and Pinkerton, all the way through, according to MTV News

The band’s future has been a subject of wide speculation since they left their former label, Geffen, for the independent Epitaph Records.

Hurley, Weezer’s record that is set for release on September 14, 2010, promises to contain similar geek-rock appeal to their well-loved records The Blue Album and Pinkerton. But are fans still interested?

“We have this really exciting idea to do a tour where we spend two nights in each city, and the first night, we play the entire Blue album, and the second night, we play the entirety of Pinkerton,” said Rivers Cuomo, Weezer’s lead singer.  “We’re just running it by promoters right now to see if there’s sufficient interest in the markets to do something like that, and if they’re on board, it’s gonna happen.”

"“The fan response has been incredible so far for the idea,” he adds. “And, if they want to, they can contact their local promoter and tell them to make it happen,” he added.
