To Sandra Bullock’s relief and joy, the judge at the Jefferson Juvenile Justice Center in New Orleans, birthplace of her 8-month-old boy Louis Bardo, has formalized his adoption.
The Miss Congeniality star had applied for his adoption while she was married to Jesse James. The couple were involved for five years, and little Louis Bardo had happened in their lives earlier this year. They had kept the adoption under wraps until hitting the tabloids last spring.
Unfortunately, the couple separated in March, after James’ latter’s extramarital affairs were publicly disclosed, and their divorce was finalized in June
It was feared that the actress wouldn’t be able to complete the adoption of her son because she was now a single mother, but the judge accepted her request on August 13 , reports People.
The judge signed the official papers officially making her Louis’s mum in the presence of Bullock, her family including her sister Gesine , and her close friends,
" She is very happy. She loves this child so much," said a source.
