Our Lady Peace frontman Raine Maida is almost finished working on his new solo album. Maida talked about his second solo effort in an interview with BE Interactive. He said: "It’s based on more spoken word and poetry that I write."
He talked about teaming up with his wife, Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk. He shared: "We just wrote a song for an HBO film a few weeks ago and recorded that. It’s a very beautiful, stripped-down Chantal thing."
Maida talked about the possibility of making an album with his wife one day. He agreed it could happen: "Chantal and I work a lot together but we haven’t officially done a record together yet. I guess because we work together so much it doesn’t seem like we really need to do that right now. But I think, yeah, in the future, it’s something we’ll do just because we can."
Our Lady Peace is performing at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival on Friday, September 3.
