Former football Zinedine Zidane has collaborated with major players in the fashion world before like Dior and Vuitton. He is now the face of a new ad campaign for Y-3.
This is not Zidane’s first collaboration with Y-3. He was previously in the brand’s 2010 Spring/Summer campaign.
Now he will represent the brand’s 2010-2011 Fall/Winter campaign.
The new campaign took place in NYC with photographer Alasdair McLellan and includes a short film directed by Theo Stanley.
Y-3 designer Yohji Yamamoto talked about this new collection, saying: "The trends of recent years have concentrated on increasingly short and sexy clothing. With this collection, I wanted to wrap the body and not show too much."
Earlier in the summer, just weeks before the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Zidane posed for Louis Vuitton, along with Pele and Diego Maradona. Photographer to the stars Annie Leibovitz directed the advertising campaign that involved the three men competing in an historic game.
