Taylor swiftly reacts to leak

Taylor Swift single gets rush release treatment.

Taylor Swift’s team shifted into high gear this week after a song from her new album was leaked online 12 days before its official release. Mine is the first single off Speak Now, an album due out on October 25.

Big Machine Records quickly went on the attack and called the leaked version "unauthorized" and "low quality." The record label released the song only hours later to iTunes and country radio stations.

Mine immediately shot to first place on iTunes yesterday (August 5). Swift sent a message to fans via Twitter: "I landed in Japan and got 20 texts and looked at iTunes and got tears in my eyes. And so, we begin again. :)"

Speak Now is Swift’s highly anticipated follow up to her acclaimed album, Fearless. That album was released in 2008 and earned several awards for the young singer-songwriter, including two Grammys for Album of the Year and Best Country Album.
