Ke$ha is already working on a follow-up to her debut album Animal. She is the opening act on Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth tour and finding time to write new material on the road.
She talked about a recent burst of inspiration. Ke$ha shared: "I was just in Tokyo and I couldn’t sleep. I woke up at four in the morning, and I had this idea — [for] the whole video and the track and the song and who I wanted to collaborate with…"
The Tik Tok singer said: "I write all my own music, so [the album is] going to be honest. And I definitely am not just laying around Los Angeles getting drunk with my friends anymore, so it’ll definitely be a little different subject matter… I’m not done being crazy."
Ke$ha has become an international pop star in a short period of time. Her first three singles are top 10 hits. Her debut album, Animal, reached number one on the Billboard 200.
She also just received a MTV VMA nomination for Best New Artist. She is up against Canada’s Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo, Broken Bells and Nicki Minaj.
