It’s no secret that Lily Allen wants to have kids. She recently took a hiatus from her music career in order to focus on other things, including starting a family. The Smile singer just announced she has a bun in the oven.
Allen’s rep released a statement to People magazine: "Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child. Lily’s professional commitments will carry on as normal, including a scheduled performance at the Big Chill this weekend."
The 25-year old Brit is now three months pregnant. She has been dating the 32-year old painter/decorator for the past year. Allen recently told Elle magazine: "I don’t think I’m that young to have a baby. My mother had me when she was 23. (Having a family will give me something) more solid, something that exists, that makes me feel more grounded."
Lily Allen has said she will devote herself completely to her new baby. She plans to spend 100% of her time looking after the little one for at least the first couple years of the baby’s life.
