Singer LeAnn Rimes and her boyfriend, Eddie Cibrian, have taken their relationship to the next level by moving together, reports People.
"It just made sense for them,"said a source close tot he couple. "Eddie’s lease was up and LeAnn’s home was bigger and already familiar to Eddie’s sons."
Cibrian shares custody of his two son, Mason, 7 and Jake, 3, with his ex, model Brandi Glanville.
The source added: "It’s somewhere the kids know and it allows Mason to stay in the same school district, which was important to them, that there’s continuity for him. They take [moving in with the kids] with a lot of responsibility. They want to make sure that it was done in the right way."
The source said the move will be gradual, but it should take place during the next month.
A spokesperson for Rimes confirmed the news, saying the two stars "[are] excited for this happy new journey."
Rimes’ divorce from Dean Sheremet with was formalized on June 19.
Rimes, 27, had an extramarital affair with Cibrian, 37, a secret that was revealed in March 2009. Rimes and Sheremet, who were married in 2002, were separated the following summer.
Rimes and Cibrian met during the filming of Northern Lights in November 2008, but their relationship did not become romantic until several months later.
