Ke$ha doesn’t rule out country

The native Nashvillian and dance-hit singer doesn’t stray far from her roots.

Ke$ha, the singer whose hits Tik Tok, Blah Blah Blah and Your Love Is My Drug have been shaking dance floors across the world this summer, says she wouldn’t mind collaborating on some country tracks.

She is, after all, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, home of country music, and despite her fame as a dance-hit singer, she has never denied the music that rocked her to sleep as a baby might tempt her to change her sound  someday.

"I’m really inspired by country music,"  she told Paper magazine. "My mom wrote country music and I love Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. I think at some point there might be some country collaborations or records in the future."

"But I’m also really digging being called, like half-jokingly, a white-girl rapper. I think it’s really funny and I’m going to ride that train for a little bit."
