After announcing that the second season of Glee would have an entire episode dedicated to the movie musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the creator of the popular series announced that Britney Spears’ music will also get its own special episode.
No less than six of Spears’ songs will be performed in the episode that will air on September 28. Fans can also expect a special mini-album containing the songs from that episode to hit stores the following week. Previously, a record containing the tracks from the special Madonna episode was the number-one bestseller the week of its release.
The episode will be called Britney / Brittany; Brittany is the name of the character played by Heather Morris, a star of the series.
Glee returns to the airwaves September 21; the episode devoted to Britney Spears will be the second episode of the new season.
