Janet Jackson is not losing any sleep over the fact she is dating a younger man. The younger man in question is 35-year-old millionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana. They met when he invited the 44-year old singer to perform at a private event overseas.
She commented to Essence magazine about all that rude talk: "It’s horrible. It’s really awful. And I have to believe it was a man that started that. Mother always raised us to believe that age was just a number."
A friend of Jackson’s told In Touch magazine: "He seems to have given her a new lease on life since her brother Michael died. He’s younger than Janet, taller than Janet and far richer than Janet. He has become her knight in shining armour."
The millionaire has showered Jackson with gifts any girl would love including a yacht cruise with her own butler, a Bentley convertible and a $2,200 Balenciaga Weekender bag and a pink-gold Love bracelet from Cartier.
Janet Jackson and her longtime boyfriend, Jermaine Dupuis, broke up after seven years together. They still see each other in a professional capacity as he produces some of the music she makes.
