Preventing Alzheimer’s disease

What to eat and drink to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

The Daily Mail published some advice on how to reduce the risk of getting Alzheimer’s disease.

Scientists at the University of California say people over 65 should drink tea or coffee, eat walnuts, exercise regularly and spend time in the sun.

They say these are various ways to fight against future memory loss and keep Alzheimer’s at bay.

The number of people with Alzheimer’s disease is expected to rise significantly over the next few years as the population continues to age.

Drinking a cup of tea or coffee helps to protect against this disease. In fact, according to research presented at the International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease in Hawaii, it reduces memory loss by 40%.

Scientists found that people over 65 who regularly drank tea had 37% fewer signs of dementia than those who do not drink it at all.
